Vanity Fair Beauty Salon This shop is listed in the 1953 & 1954 Green Books at 1508 Fayetteville Street, Durham (it was also listed in earlier editions at 1108 ½ Pine Street – see Vanity Fair Beauty Parlor). However, 1508 Fayetteville Street is listed as a residence in the 1955 City Directory, although 1507 is listed as the Mrs. Annie Hamilton Beauty Shop. The 1952 and 1955 City Directories list the salon at 704 Fayetteville Street, which is confirmed by the second photograph in this Open Durham post, which shows the business name in the window.
