Detailed History
This site is destroyed, once sitting a mere 400 feet from the extant Whittenburg's garage. Walker Mabel, a nurse, owned this property. It was victim to extensive exterior damage from a sudden fire in 1958, which also completely decimated a neighbor's garage (hours later firefighters were called to put out sudden fires on Asbury Avenue as well).
